ENRICH YOUR LIFE BY SAVING A LIFE . . . RESCUE A SHELTER ANIMAL!

Want to see all the animals in the shelter? No problem, just check them out at 2900 East Old Marathon Highway, or see them at www.petfinder.com OR www.alpinehumanesociety.com. The shelter is open M-F from 10am-1pm and 2-6pm. For adoption information, call 837-9030 or 837-2532.

You can also help our shelter animals by shopping at the AHS THRIFT STORE, on 5th St. next to the ALON station.

FEATURED PETS OF THE WEEK -- "OSO" & "DUKE" -- $50

DUKE, a Black Nosed Cur/Pit Mix, and OSO, a Jack Russell Terrier Mix, are both young male pups in need of new homes. Both play together and get along with most other dogs. Either would be a great companion for life.  If you're seeking a new companion, now would be a good time to act.   Both DUKE and OSO can be adopted through September 27 for only $50—half the normal fee.  Fee will include spay or neuter, vaccines, city registration tag, and a microchip--A $200 PLUS BARGAIN!!

Our next Adoption Day will be on Sept. 27 at the Alpine Animal Shelter from 10-1pm. Hot Dogs (no pun intended) and cool beverages will be served. Adoptions will be $50 for any cat or dog in the shelter.

THE DOG PARK IN KOKERNOT PARK WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED LAST SATURDAY.  THE PARK IS A JOINT PROJECT OF THE ALPINE HUMANE SOCIETY AND THE CITY OF ALPINE. OPEN 24/7, PLEASE USE IT AND LET YOUR DOG ENJOY A GOOD ROMP!!

See all of our shelter animals on our website at www.Petfinder.com.

REMEMBER: PETS CAN'T ADD BUT THEY CAN MULTIPLY—SPAY & NEUTER!!

"RASCAL"

OLLEY (adopted), a young black/grey short hair kitten, and RASCAL, an adult Heeler Mix are in need of new homes. Neither they nor do their fellow felines and canines deserve to be confined to cages at the Alpine Shelter.  Unfortunately, too many pets are being abandoned and the shelter if running out of cages. If you're seeking a new companion, now would be a good time to act.   Both OLLEY and RASCAL can be adopted through September 20 for only $50—half the normal fee.  Fee will include spay or neuter, vaccines, city registration tag, and a microchip--A $200 PLUS BARGAIN!!

"JAKE" OR "TC"

JAKE & TC are like Mutt and Jeff, JAKE is a cute, friendly young chihuahua and TC is an adult blue heeler mix. Both like people and get along with other dogs. Neither seems to have come from a previous abusive relationship. Whether you're looking for a big or small dog, TC or JAKE will provide great companionship in a new forever home.

FEATURED PETS UNTIL AUG. 30 -- "PEYTON" OR "WOODY" -- $50

Both PETON & WOODY are young adults who have been in the shelter too long. Both are good dogs who get along with people and other dogs. PETON's a tri-color hound and WOODY's a black lab. Either would function as a SANITY ENABLER for the right person(s). They just need a second chance, a home with space to romp and people who want a long term relationship. Adopt either for only $50 until Aug. 30.
FEE WILL INCLUDE SPAY OR NEUTER, VACCINES, CITY REGISTRATION TAG, AND A MICROCHIP—A $200 BARGAIN!!

"REBA"

The Alpine Shelter has lots of super dogs, cats, puppies & kittens available for immediate adoption. Since the cat room is nearly full, you can adopt any cat/kitten and get a second one free. We also have  a number of great dogs and puppies to select from. Various sizes, colors and breeds are available for adoption. Been thinking about getting a pet? Well, this is the time to take action. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccines, city registration tag and a microchip—a $200 plus bargain!!
